Powder Coating is a very effective method of covering metallic pieces with an attractive and highly durable surface that protects and provides a beautiful finish. The process employs a free-flowing dry powder, which is applied electrostatically to a desired thickness and then cured with heat.
Surfaces that are powder coated have a higher level of resistance to corrosion, scratches and chipping. They also hold up very well in extreme climate conditions.
A wide variety of bright and vibrant colors are available through the powder coating process, as well as many finishes including high and low gloss, metallic, clear and textured.
In order to optimize the quality of the powder coating process, we carefully prepare your piece with a degreasing agent and media blasting. The preparation stage is critically important, as it plays a vital role in how the powder coating will ultimately turn out. You can rest assured that all projects done by the AC Upcycle team are cleaned and treated with a protective wash to ensure a professional and long lasting powder coat finish.
We will start your project by speaking with you to understand the type of piece you want powder coated, the environment it will be used in and the colors and finishes you want. With this information, we can determine the type of metal preparation that will be required.
From there, we can send you a customized quote/estimate for the work that we will be doing.
Safely pack up your project and ship it to us. We will confirm its arrival, validate our estimate and get your final approval before proceeding.
After we properly prepare your piece, we will powder coat it with the highest level of care and quality. Once we are done, we will safely return it to you.
